Thought we might share some twilight zone musical experiences. I just had one I'll share and then the rest of you can join in.
I got a surprise envelope in the mail from my old Jr. High Band Director which contained a CD of tunes from our 1960 stage band. I popped it in my CD player in the car and set off to a rehearsal anxious to rehear stuff I had completely forgotten about. By the time the fourth tune came up I was having a blast remembering, especially the 2nd alto player. She was hot, hot , hot. About a minute into the song I began to have an anxiety attack which got bad enough for me to have to pull off the road. I had not connected it to the CD at all until all of a sudden a bone solo came on, starting with a fracked note. It all came back to me, the stage, the lights, the audience and that stupid missed note. It was a repeated section, and I remember thinking then that I'll have another chance at it and I won't miss it again. I nailed it the 2nd time. All those years, 54 of them, and although I hadn't thought about it since, my mind not only remembered but reacted the same way it did way back then. Music is a very powerful force.

Supernatural Music Tales
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
