While five octaves are possible, I believe you'll find that most people would be more interested in the useful musical range of an instrument. Who wants to listen to a double high Bflat or a double pedal Bflat(which can only be played as a false tone by the way) on a euphonium?

Hey, if you can get 5 octaves on the Euphonium, I'm willing to bet the mouthpiece is not making any difference!
That being said, I'd have to agree that noone really wants to hear notes that incredibly high unless they're accompanied by some incredible playing. That should really be the icing on the cake.
