Yamaha epoxy lacquer is a whole different animal than most others. How would one go about chemically stripping it, without resorting to buffing away bell thickness?

'Aircraft Brand' stripper works on most lacquer except for that dreaded 'Eastlake Orange' stuff.
You can pick it up at auto parts or body shop stores. Like Bloke said.... don't slop this stuff into your shoes or eyes!
One caveat... if the horn has been repaired and areas heated to soldering temperatures.... those spots will have to be blasted off!
