Income Taxes!!!

As you may already know, income tax refund checks are just around the corner. I can't think of any better way to spend mine than on a new mouthpiece. I searched the old Tubenet to try and avoid asking this question, but found nothing.

I am currently playing a Miraphone 186 BBb, with a Conn Helleberg. I've done some research myself, and have narrowed my name-brand down to a Perantucci mouthpiece. Which particular model of the '36, '48, and '88 would you recommend? If it helps, I enjoy the projection of the Helleberg, but want more depth and "bottom" to my sound. Maybe stepping towards an organ-like tone, without going too far is what I'm looking for.

I've already tried every imagineable method of getting some time with these pieces, but have failed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would strongly suggest using WW and BW and their mouthpiece trial deal, where you can try up to 3 (i think) Mpcs and then return the ones you dont want.....I had a student of mine do this and it really worked out well, this way you could try all of the MPC's you mention and see for yourself.

May I also suggest giving consideration to a G&W mpc...I have two(caver and bora) and am working on my third(williwa or diablo) , they are really great! (hey Ivan, do i get a deal for pushing your product?)

Will you give me a link for the G&W site? I will consider them, as long as they are not >$150--what I'd spend for a gold plate PT.

http://www.gwmouthpieces.com They are $135 and totally worth it. I always used gold...until I started with the stainless steel .....I can't ever imagine going back.

I like the concept, I'm just hesitant to put down $135 bucks on something before I can get more input. I'll give this thread some time and see if more people give me good reviews of the G&W.

Which G&W do you have experience with, Doc? From what I looked at, the Taku sounded like my cup of tea.
