Does anyone have any experience with this euphonium or own one?

There has never been a huge degree of enthusiasm for them, but I recall some postings on Dave's site about more recent models.

I have playtested it a year ago. Soundwise excellent, if you are looking for a dark and big sound. I would say not inferior to the Besson Prestige in this respect. Intonation as good/ bad as most euphoniums (except Yamaha and Willson): so mediocre. Workmanship/finish not what you would call "top of the bill" (but in line with most Amati/Cerveny products and given the price it looked not too bad).

[I must admit, I bought a Sterling Virtuoso myself for a substantially higher price and had to discover that the workmanship/finish was definitely not better than that of the Cerveny, rather worse!!!]

These Cerveny made instruments are also sold as "Geneva Brass" by the UK company with that same name. A little more expensive, they offer more "customization". Look at the website of Geneva Brass.

Ah yes, nicely done! That's Becky Smith of "Bones Apart". I noticed she didn't use any vibrato normally heard by British brass.

Yes, she left it where it belongs. If I remember correctly, there was gentleman who had the record for the most number of times playing Euphonium in the particular piece at the Proms. Anyone know who that might have been?
