picture of Alan Baer with tuba strapped to motorcycle?

A few years ago, I remember seeing a picture of Alan Baer in a full white riding suit (I think) with a tuba strapped to his motorcycle. I cannot find that online, does anybody have that?
(I have found the small picture of him in a T-shirt wearing the tuba backpack-style.)
I would also be open to any other pictures of a full sized tuba on motorcycle.
Thanks,
Marty (who rode his bicycle with a tuba several years in college)

Gotta love the Guzzi even if it isn't a looper.

When I was in college, the Cleveland Orchestra came to Philadelphia's Academy of Music. After the concert, several of us went backstage to see if we could talk to Ron Bishop. Unfortunately, we got there just in time to see him ride off on a motorcycle with his horn in his gigbag. I'd never even seen a gigbag let alone a tuba player with one on a chopper. ...alas no cell phone cameras then...

At the time I was hoping I'd find something like the '74 Eldorado of my youth, but this was more motorcycle for the money, and now I wouldn't trade it. It's quite a barge - that's really a full size tuba, albeit Eb.

My wife and I picked up a used Honda 150 scooter (looks more like a sportbike, rated 100 MPG) yesterday. I rode it about 20 miles to church rehearsal last night with the bass trombone strapped to my back. Around 50 or so the bass trombone gigbag started acting a bit like a sail and I could feel it pulling me back a little. I probably wouldn't want the full "sail effect" of a 6/4 tuba sticking way above my head and may want to find a way to attach it horizontally like in the 2nd post. I am not sure if a bike that size would have adequate room for it.
Here in Nashville, we see plenty of motorcyclists with a guitar bag on their back, so the bass trombone gigbag wasn't too out of place. If I find a way to make the tuba work on that bike without risking it or the tuba, I will definitely post a picture. Longterm plans are for my wife to be the primary user of that bike, so I don't want to go crazy bolting any huge ATV sized racks on the back.

Yes they are unquestionably better. And the newer ones even better yet. Somehow the hard head in my still prefers imprecise long throw shifters and marginal brakes. The LAPD is a nice compromise by adding some semblance of braking ability.

I'm disappointed - I was expecting to see a motorcycle strapped onto the back of a motorcycle.
Who the hell cares about a tuba strapped to the back of a motorcycle?

Bump - still looking for the pic of him in full riding gear with a 6/4 tuba in gigbag.
(And yes, I did Google). I doubt a serious rider such as him would go very far with that lack of gear; it looks more like a photo-op.
I have been using my 150 scooter as primary transportation except for tuba, kids , or severe thunderstorms. I have taken the bass trombone on it several times without issue. I was even going to take my son's 3/4 Conn 12J on it to a beginning band clinic this weekend, but my wife wanted to use the scooter for a church brunch instead.
I think I could make a 3/4 horn work if properly attached; I would probably need some kind of good rack with tie down points in back or over the rear seat. Given the size of the bike, my 6/4 BART frankenhorn is probably out of the question. Even the bass bone starts to act like a sail at 55-60; I am considering adding an additional strap or two to that econo bag.

He's not in full riding gear here, but could this still be the photo you were thinking of? I can't find a better version that this at the moment:

He really should have been wearing a helmet.

No question about it that it's a photo-op. There are other photos online of Alan Baer riding motorcycles and he's always in full riding gear. He's a pretty serious rider and isn't doing 2,000 miles wearing a t-shirt of with his tuba strapped to his back.
Maybe he does some short-distance riding with the tuba while he's in Vail, CO each summer with the NY Phil, but remember that they truck all of their stuff out there in tractor-trailer rigs so he isn't having to tote his own tuba(s) to Vail from NY. Why in the world would anyone want to wear a tuba on their back for 2,000 miles of riding when they don't have to?
Also, just realized I posted the same thing Thomas Maurice Booth posted over two months ago. Suppose I should have gone back to review the thread prior to posting. Sorry about that. Oh well...you got a bump out of it, right?
