Re: OFFICIAL LIST of horns/players that won a job
Leto, please correct the spelling of Mike Sanders. It's not Saunders.
And he won the San Antonio Symphony audition in 1973 using an Alexander 163. He was using a B&S Symphonie F tuba and a Hirsbrunner HB-50 when he won the St. Louis audition in 1991 (and also the two times he was appointed as Interim Principal with the Utah Symphony, in 1987 and again in 1989).

Added a few more but policy won't let me write more than 10000 characters. Can any moderator change this so the list is all on one page? Part 2 of list is on this page starting on MIRAPHONE 186.

Re: OFFICIAL LIST of horns/players that won a job
One more to add for Rod Mathews (one T in Mathews...)
San Luis Obispo Symphony. November, 2017. Nirschl 6/4 York CC Tuba and a Yamaha 822S F Tuba.
I think I played a Meinl-Weston 45S F Tuba in the Sacramento Symphony audition in 1991. Didn’t see that one listed.
Interesting list.
