TN has discussed tubas of this brand. A flute list had a question about a Wunderlich flute, which lead to a very good answer, which I here will quote in toto aside from a name and a mail address:

The company was founded by Carl August Wunderlich (1826-1911) in Siebenbrunn. Siebenbrunn was a village near Markneukirchen, which became a part of Markneukirchen in 1959. Markneukirchen has been the center of german music instrument making for 250 years. His eldest son Carl August Wunderlich II (1855-1914) led the company to a leading wholesale company for woodwind and brasswind instruments. His second son Richard Wunderlich emigrated to Chicago and run a partner company distributing german music instruments in the U.S. As the third generation Carl August Alban Wunderlich III (1882-1959) joined the company in 1908 and took it over in 1936. The company was able to stand the economic depression 1929 because they were well known for good quality: well known manufacturers like August Knopf, Clemens Wurlitzer, Franz Köhler worked for them.
Flutes and piccolos with the brand C. A. Wunderlich came mainly from the workshops of Max Arno Jahn (1874-1956) and Albert Wunderlich (1878-1939). M. A. Jahn has worked with C.A.Schreiber and Bertrand Guido Gemeinhart (father of Kurt Gemeinhart) before he opened his own workshop. The company existed until 1966.
Simple system flutes cannot be dated without seeing them. Simple system flutes are not much sought after, only some collectors and lovers of old instruments could be interested.

Hi Klaus, probably you know this already:
http://www.museum-markneukirchen.de/forum/
It is a german board, they know almost everything about Markneukirchen Instruments and their history and answer questions as well.
