Basically because it's a tooba record which you can play for people who do not play the tuba. It requires no explanation.

As far as what I listen to, I like the 2002 Empire Brass Gabrieli album so much, I bought a backup copy.

I have two favorites.

Perception, which features Eugene Anderson's Tuba Concerto. That piece is my favorite solo tuba piece and this is a great (the only?) recording of it. It is a seriously awesome concerto.

I really like the Traveling Light Christmas album, but my favorite Sam recording is Under the Big Top: 100 Years of Circus Music.
