The "Almost Live" videos on embouchure and breathing are great as well. I find that doing the Clarke first chromatic sudy really slowly while thinking of these pedagogies helps "train" the embouchure. Gotta learn to crawl before you learn to walk.

Hello Tuboss,

The first thing I noticed, even before I heard a note, is that you seem to be leaning into the instrument. The video is dark so it's hard to tell, but I think the tuba needs to be higher so that your posture is more upright. If I'm right this is something you should correct right away: a long term bad habit is always much more difficult to correct. Good posture is essential for good breathing, and good breathing is essential for good playing. Moreover, posture and breathing both affect endurance.

You might consider a playing stand like....maybe the DEG tuba Stand

Well I was being lazy, but I'll make sure not to be so lazy while I'm playing. I usually let the tuba slouch in more of a straight line if I don't feel like holding it up for long periods of time. But I'll make sure not to do that.

I hear some improvement in your sound concept. Playing a concert horn may be part of the improvement.
Be careful when playing in the lower register, that your mouth is "open" (drop your jaw). It will give you a less "nasal" tone down there!

Ya I was hearing weird stuff down there when I was playing low notes during my tunes. But I addressed it today earlier, because it's producing a nasal sound is abnormal for me so it was a bit weird but I got it fixed.

And thanks brah, been workin on it. My concept of sound is better indeed. But, deep down I love playing loud as f***.
