What Do You Do.....?

Post by Tubaryan12 »

What do you do with that tuba mouthpiece that is just no good anymore? You know the one: you got it in marching band, all the plating is worn off, the rim is chipped, dented, scratched, the shank is out of round, probably been with you longer than your significant other (I know mine has). Its now only good as a paper weight. Is there any dignified "retirement" for an old mouthpiece?

Sure! Send it to me. I like to experiment with old MP's They can easily be modified and replated.

I've seen the shot glass thing done before.

My senior year in high school I replaced the shift knob on the manual transmission of my car with an ancient Bach 18! I just put a pouch over it when I left the car parked in the sun.

Paperweight sounded like a good idea.

A pen/pencil holder for you favorite writing utensil.

Maybe use as a funnel for R/C vehicle applications?

Get another and make a bolo.

You could send it out to a few guys who do mouthpiece restoration.

It looks pretty cool when he comes around a corner towards you.
What year caddy? Coupe, sedan, convertuible?
