The orchestra parts for Shostakovich Symphony No. 10 are under copyright worldwide. Contact the orchestra librarian who will be renting the parts in the UK from Chester Music Limited. Any other copies or pdf's are illegal.
In the U.S. the librarian rents from Schirmer, Chester NY.
Publishers do not rent to individual musicians.

Wow. I see you joined around the same time I did. You definitely lurked long enough to know how to make a typical tubenet post!
Surprisingly, it is not actually necessary here to step up and be a jerk to someone who is seeking help. Someone else is highly likely to do so.
It is flatly not true, at least in the US (I don't know about UK copyright law, but I'd be willing to bet a nickel there's no difference) that "any other copies are illegal." Some copies are covered under reasonable use. In the case of a prospective performance, as long as a copy for each musician has been paid for, and any additional copies are destroyed after being used, it is all good. So how about we just try to be helpful? Would that be a problem?

This is why copyright exists, to protect starving artists like Shostakovich('s ghost) from the horrors of having their music be practiced too thoroughly by those who will be performing it in public.
