UCLA Tuba and Euphonium Website: Your Input Welcome

Post by Aubrey Foard »

Hi Everyone,

Some of you may know that I keep a website for my studio at UCLA, located here: http://uclatubas.weebly.com Since I began my position at this university, it's been a dream of mine to make the studio website a "one stop shop" of information and resources for all brass musicians (but especially for tuba and euphonium players!). Today, I'm happy to announce that I've completed the addition of a substantial amount of resources to the site. Under the "Resources" tab, these include:

- A list of national and international summer festivals
- A list of local, national, and international solo and chamber competitions
- Audition resources
- Articles by myself and other professional musicians
- Instrument, sheet music and accessory shopping resources

If you'd like, you can directly link to the "Resources" tab by clicking here: http://uclatubas.weebly.com/resources.html

I've also added a list of recommended recordings, including solo recordings for tuba and euphonium, brass ensemble, and orchestra. This page is still under development - and in fact, due to the nature of recordings, may never be completed - so just a heads-up on that. You can find the recommended recordings page here: http://uclatubas.weebly.com/recommended-recordings.html

In the coming weeks, I will be adding a few more interesting links to the "Resources" tab, including a lecture on freelancing by Dr. Blake Cooper, as well as horn pedagogue Jeff Nelsen's notes on fearless performance.

In the meantime, I'd love to receive any feedback you may have regarding the site's content or appearance. If you have any input, please don't hesitate to respond below. Or, if you'd like to contact me off-board, feel free to send me a private message or an e-mail.

Thank you very much and happy practicing! :tuba:

Nicely done, Aubrey. Great website.

You're missing a comma after Britt in your bio.
