My wind ensable is looking for a new tuba. Which of these would be best a 20 year+ old yamaha ycb 861 or a new chinese miraclone. The cost are the same for both tubas.
I have been playing the yamaha for 1 1/2 years and it has it's intonation problems.

Describe said please.
The D below staff is flat E and Eb in staff is flat but work with 12 for E and 23 for Eb. Everything above F in staff is difficult to hit. In the bottom from G and down it feel a little stuffy.
I have compared tvist to new Rudolf Meinl 4/4cc and it had a much better intonation in the whole the register.

I found a solution to this I bought my self a used Rudolf Meinl 5/4 cc tuba.
It's old but has a beautiful sound and is easier to play than the Yamaha.
I am a happy tuba player :tuba:
