So I pulled out a collection of Grieg's works done by the Bergen Philharmonic that I purchased a while back but hadn't listened to in a while.
I had forgotten how good and exposed the tuba parts are in some of the works (listening to suite from Sigurd Jorsalfar right now).
And to boot, the tuba player with Bergen is very tasteful in his playing. I highly recommend checking out the collection!
