my thank you to Baltimore Brass

Post by Mark E. Chachich »

I wanted to say thank you to Baltimore Brass (a TubeNet sponsor). They have kept my aging tubas in service for many years. Today I brought my 39 year old Alexander in because the third valve was hanging up, Pete took care of the problem. I have always found Baltimore Brass to be honest and a great place to do business. I also like to try out the tubas in the showroom :D .

Just curious, Mark---------what was the cause for the third valve hanging up?

This problem was straightforward, there was residue in the valve that was hanging it up. Pete analyzed the problem, removed the valve and fixed the problem in short order. To me, one of the marks of an excellent repairman is that they attack a straightforward and common problems with the same care and efficiency as more complex and interesting problems. Baltimore Brass has also repaired a fairly serious problem with my MW 32 years ago as well as other repairs to my tubas.
