Hello!

I am currently looking to buy a hard case for my Miraphone 1293 Tuba, and the only hard case I can seem to find is the medium SKB case. I have already found one for sale, but before I buy it, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with SKB cases: how well do they hold up, are they able to survive airlines, etc. Any tips or information about SKB cases is welcome, but especially any that relates to the Miraphone 1293. Thanks, and happy practicing!

Wouldn't the MTS 1207 also give a very good fit?

My SKB case for my 186 is very very tough. I have not traveled by plane with it yet, only around in a car or truck. I am not afraid for my tuba's safety when it is this case. I thought about getting a soft case but decided to spring for the hard. It has paid off, not once has it been damaged in the case. Just realize these cases are huge, but I would highly recommend them. Also the accessory holder is not the largest but will still hold your basics.

I went to France and back this past June, and there was no damage to my tuba or case. One tuba repairman I know uses SKB cases for shipping and travel, and recommended them to me. Tusabtuba

The best case for the Miraphone 1293 is the J Winter 995. It fits the instrument well and can withstand considerable mistreatment. Go to Music123 now and get the 15% discount.
