Sorry for coming to the party so late;
I was a professional player around the Philly area for about 20 years until I ran into an immovable object (Pocono mountain) while sports car racing and suffering a significant brain injury.
I played a Marzan CC slanted 4 rotor horn <img src="http://www.dillonmusic.com/usedimages/9 ... 5831PM.jpg">
(like this, taken from a 2003 post)
that I bought used while in school in the '70s studying with Irving H Cohen at West Chester (Pennsylvania) University with a Miraphone Rose Solo mouthpiece .
I always loved the sound and the upward tuning slide (which allowed one to compensate for both intonation problems AND multiple valves), and I wondered who actually made this model horn (and my compliments to Dr. Marzan). Any help?

from what I can gather from the Tubenet experts, Willson made the ones with the smaller bells (17inch), Bohm and Meinl made the ones with the 19 in bells.
