Anybody got plans for "International Tuba Day", on the first Friday in May?
I have the music, so I was thinking about getting a quartet together, and playing on the sidwalk, outside a restaurant in an "antique-y" town, near where I live (IF I can talk three other people into doing it!!!)
I just hope it's not also 'shotgun day'!

Perhaps the Texas tuba guys ought to try to organize one for the Lone Star State, next year. As big as this state is, that could certainly prove interesting. Gals, too, of course.
Every year on Tuba day I cover a tee shirt with Tuba stuff, and wear it to school. This year I'm trying to organize a party... and since there aren't a whole lot of tuba people around I'm inviting anyone involved in the music program...
There will be an International Tuba Day Concert Saturday May 1, 2004 at Noon in Voxman Hall of the University of Iowa Voxman Music Building. The concert is free and open to the public.
Hope to see you there!
