Any Tuba Day Plans?

Post by Z-Tuba Dude »

Anybody got plans for "International Tuba Day", on the first Friday in May?

I have the music, so I was thinking about getting a quartet together, and playing on the sidwalk, outside a restaurant in an "antique-y" town, near where I live (IF I can talk three other people into doing it!!!) :)

Any other ideas out there?

Tuba Day Plans

I know of no Tuba Day plans around here. If I lived anywhere near Z-Tuba Dude I could be talked into playing.

Our Friends & Family edition of the Evening Parade at Marine Barracks is that night, and for now, I've got a 4-day weekend afterwards.

Whatever I do after the parade, I won't have to wake up for 96 more hours. ;)

Perhaps the Texas tuba guys ought to try to organize one for the Lone Star State, next year. As big as this state is, that could certainly prove interesting. Gals, too, of course.

Every year on Tuba day I cover a tee shirt with Tuba stuff, and wear it to school. This year I'm trying to organize a party... and since there aren't a whole lot of tuba people around I'm inviting anyone involved in the music program...
