Most ridiculous movements?

Not quite the same, but if "movement" can mean "reaction," I think this is priceless. And if I remember correctly, I think this was the last concert the poor guy ever conducted.

Not ridiculous, but exaggerated, and effective for both orchestra and audience.

Pines of Rome, finale, one specific "hit" with cymbals, gong, bass drum, whatever else percussion wise, big accent from all the brass, screaming trumpets...

Conductor puts his baton down 1 bar before, the motion is quite like a Pete Townshend windmill.

That's the Sun breaking over The Pines of the Appian Way. It worked. Quite well.

I'm not sure how to interpret this conducting movement, but I'm quite sure he's trying to get a "rise" out of the orchestra...

Perhaps it was a subtle (?) way of indicating that they were "off by a beat" ... :lol:

There was a series of ridiculous movements this morning. I think there was something up with the turkey i had for dinner last night...
