Marching with Besson 983

Hi there,
I am investigating getting a set of Besson 983/4 tubas for my band, however as we do a lot of marching I need to make sure that they are able to be used for that.
Is there anyone out there that has or is marching with a 983? If so, how have they attached a lyre/lyrebox?
Any pictures would be a bonus!

Also, what system are you using to carry the horn?

Thankyou in advance,

Simon McCauley

There is not a lyre holder on the 983 but there are 2 strap rings on it. I use a padded luggage strap when I need to stand or move around for any length of time and have never had issue with it.

Here's how the British march with their tubas:

You need one of these in the correct tubing outer diameter for your instrument:

The brass on mine is awfully thin, very un-Bessonlike. Way suboptimal for marching, in my opinion.
