Drone MP3s

Post by Zaphod Beeblebrox »

Hi,

Does anyone know where I could get some MP3s of drone pitches? I'd just like to keep them on my phone to tune to, for pitch-matching and such. Thanks!

I have some that I made and are free of copyright issues. They are about 50 seconds per key, in circle of 4ths order. I'll see if I've got enough dropbox space to post them and send you a link. PM me your email address if you want to pursue this.

Check out the TE Tuner app (or tonal energy tuner). It'll do drones and even Chords with just tuning.

Talleyrand has solved my issue. A big thank you to him and also to the other responders.

Even though you have a solution, here is another. There's a nice little booklet, too.

Another plug for Tonal Energy. Easily the best app I've bought. Extremely useful and versatile.

Brad Edwards has some downloadable drones on his site: http://www.bonezone.org/_Main/downloads ... _index.htm" target="_blank

These are open (adjusted) fifths. I use them regularly.

I used these for quite a while (very handy) until I acquired a trombone warm-up book (Breakfast by David Schwartz) that included a CD with drones, scales, scales in thirds etc. that I now use for mouthpiece practice as well as intonation practice on the horn.
