Post by aveuph »

We've just wrapped up a wonderful semester at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. Our budding euphonium studio got their first chance to play jury pieces before jury day. Performances are on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/aaronvanderweele" target="_blank

Please feel free to check them out:
Amy Bliss - Napoli; Daniel Moore - In League with Extraordinary Gentlemen (M1); Avery Lorin Brown - Morceau Symphonique; Eddie Griffin - Fantasy for Euphonium; Sean Griffin - Horovitz Concerto (M1); Aaron Alcine - Rhapsody for Euphonium; Aaron VanderWeele - Cosma Concerto (M1).

Wishing all low brass peeps a very happy new year. Much love to all.

If you are a brass student looking for a GREAT education here in New Jersey, please apply to Mason Gross. Alan Baer - Principal Tuba of the NY Philharmonic - is our Brass Chair. Our incredible faculty is comprised of great brass players from some of the top ensembles in the world, including the MET Orchestra, NY Philharmonic, and American Brass Quintet. If you are a Euphonium Player - I would love to meet you. Our low brass program is excellent - if you want to study euphonium, you should study with a euphonium specialist. If you had a problem with your heart, would you see a dentist? NO. If you are serious about studying euphonium - study with a euphonium specialist. Mason Gross is a short 50 min train ride to New York City, and we offer all the benefits of the big city without having to live there. Auditions are upcoming - teachers, band directors, tutors - Please encourage your kids to apply to Mason Gross. Some wonderful things are happening here!
