Tuba Stuff In Florida

Post by Dan Schultz »

I'm going to be in Bradenton/Sarasota with 'Windjammers' playing circus music from January 13th through the 18th. I'll be roaming across the state toward Fort Lauderdale between the 18th and the 25th. Yes... I'll have some horns with me and will be looking for places to play. Nothing lofty... just perhaps some community band type stuff.

Is this band connected with the museum in Corydon?
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I was not aware of a museum in Corydon until I Googled it and found that it was registered as a not-for-profit organization in 1978. I do not know of anything going on there now and information is rather 'sketchy'. I understand that one of the very early 'Windjammers' meets was held there but don't know of any connection with windjammers.org.

I guess I ought to check into it a little closer as I only live an hour from there!

Too bad you won't be down here on 1/31. We have Germanfest in Naples you could sit in at. Always need MORE tuba in an oompha band.
