York King Connection?

I did a search on here, but didn't find any information...

What, if any, connection is there between York and King? I ask because the York baritone I picked up has ferrules that look identical to King ferrules and there's always the fact that York (and Holton) Monster Eb bells fit so perfectly into King bodies (as we've seen on Mr. Gnagey's creations).

Is there a connection?

I have a York 'Master' trombonium that is identical to a King trombonium I had a while back. Seems to me that once the York factory closed the name turned into 'stencil' fodder.

Even before that, when Carl Fischer bought the company.
Fischer played fast and loose with the other makers they owned and with horns sourced in Western Europe.
