Bottesini Requiem ophicleide and serpent or cimbasso?

Post by tubalooney »

Hi everyone! Has anyone played the Bottesini Requiem? I've been asked to play it. On the part is written ophicleide and serpentone (serpent for the lacrymosa I think...) I haven't spoken to the conductor yet to see what he wants. I haven't played ophicleide or serpent for a very long time. Have any of you already played it on the cimbasso? All ideas welcome! Cheers phillip
