Value of H N white baritone

Post by Chasetbr »

What would you say this horn is worth? It is a working horn with a good finish and a case.

Not a lot. $300 If it plays well. Just my initial thought.

I have one that may be just like it. Satin silver. I think it is one of the most beautiful instruments. Or is that really a baritone? I think mine is more of a euphonium. At least it fits the case better. It belonged to my mother's sister when she was in school.

I also have my mother's Martin trumpet and my father's mellophone, but I can't remember the brand right off. None of them may be worth more than about $300, but they are priceless to me.

Too narrow for a euphonium, too fat for a British baritone. If the valves are tight and the intonation is good, still could be a nice carrier of tenor lines in a smaller community band.
