Saw them play this afternoon: Congrats to Alan Baer, what a world class sound and playing. The end of Strauss' Der Rosenkavaliere was really really great, the entire brass section created a wall of sound that felt like it could move mountains.

even before the concert it was incredible to hear the clarity and depth of sound Mr Baer produced. Thanks!

Yeah, I heard them a couple weeks ago on their Midwest tour. They played Dvorak 9 and Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra. The blend in the low brass was amazing. And getting a chance to hear Alessi and Mr. Baer up close was incredible.
