Hi!

I am graduating from my college soon so I will no longer be able to use my school's tuba. (I am currently playing on a CC Besson BE995) My tutor suggests to buy from German brands such as B&S, Meinl Weston and Miraphone.

I need some advice on the following models: (and maybe if possible, relative to the BE995)

- Meinl Weston 2145
- Meinl Weston 3450
- B&S GR41-L (PT-606P)
- B&S 4197-L (PT-20P)

I plan on playing it mainly for leisure, intending to join a wind band / orchestra in the future.

Of course, I would have to try the tubas out personally as taste is subjective, but it would be nice to get some advice from you guys beforehand too.

Thanks a lot! :tuba:

Well, I believe that the Besson 995 is made by Meinl Weston so it is a horn of German manufacture. If you like the way it plays then don't rule it out.

This is the English language version of a French page:

http://www.besson.com/en/instruments/be ... %2C11%2C12

but that tuba still is made by Meinl Weston in Germany.
