Question about Miraphone

Post by BassBass »

Hello,

I have some question about the rotor cap.
When the Miraphone engraved the caps?
Which the details can proof if the specific model is a original Miraphone?
Following some pictures that I found on google.

Cheers

That first tuba is def. not a Miraphone. The other tubas look like a mix of Meinl, Miraphone and Amati/Cerveny parts. Weird. You can see where repair work was done on them,
probably using parts from other tubas.

Yes there were three valve Miraphones. They do not make many of these now.

The second picture reminds me of a Miraphone CC tuba I once played that had an extra tuning slide which changed the pitch to BBb. That is what this picture looks like to me.

How do you know that the first model is not a Miraphone?
Which details of the body I can identify that isn't a Miraphone?
Thanks

My doubt is: which details can we see if the horn is a Miraphone or not?
