Decibel level on my CC horns

So I always keep a decibel meter on my stand. I can get my F tubas in the mid and high range really loud at this point. I think I've hit nearly 100 db once when I was really warmed up and playing the Penderecki. How come when I play my CC horns in the same registers, I can't hit the same amount of db? They are BATs, so they are supposed to be the loudest right? Any information would be great! Thanks.

That's pretty entertaining. I don't think we've seen a fake profile in quite a while. This one is good for a laugh!

The problem is they are CC tubas. BBb tubas do not experience the same issue. That is why most Sousaphones are in BBb - for when volume matters.

Trolling reel? Isn't that a mythological dance from the Scottish Highlands? I wouldn’t trust the expert of this thread - he only knows about Glasgow.

And here all along I thought "trolling" was hiding under a bridge to catch unsuspecting goats and other small animals for dinner. Silly me!!!
