I own a "Schiller" compensating Eb tuba and I recently purchased a JP Sterling compensating Eb tuba from Matt Walters at Dillon music. The "Schiller" Eb plays very well and is overall a good tuba. However, the JP Sterling is overall a better tuba. The JP Sterling Eb offers better projection, resonance, valve action, and aesthetics. The JP Sterling Eb is almost identical in both aesthetics, and playing quality when compared to a German made Besson that I play at work (U.S Army). I highly recommend the JP Sterling Eb tuba if you're in the market for a compensating Eb tuba. I actually use a compensating Eb for most of the performances at work. It took me a little while to get used to the design, but it was worth the effort.

Their F tuba, is it based off of a PT15 then? I thought the Wessex/mack brass F tuba was based off of a PT10.
