I play on a Kalison K2001 C tuba.
I like that instrument very much.
I have been blowing a few times on the Daryl Smith.
I think it is also a good tuba.My other instruments are a Kalison Daryl Smith F tuba,a Besson E flat tuba, a B&S 3100 F tuba and a Melton cimbasso.

I played on a Darrel Smith horn for a year or two in college and felt it to be a quality instrument. You could do much worse, that is for sure.

I have owned a Kalison DS CC for about 5 years now and I love it. I have not played a horn that I like enough to make me want to get rid of it, and I have played at least one of every major brand CC. It is not perfect, but I like the sound and it does what I need it do.
That's just me,

I owned a Kalison DS about 10 years ago.
It was stuffy, had below average intonation, was easy to dent, was easy to overblow, and tended to rattle when the 4 screws holding the valve section on got loose.
I was very glad to get rid of it.
