Boy, I don't know. Likely several years (like 10). I never got to talk to him much about the horn. It did say Cerveny on the bell, it was a BBb and it did require a euro shank mouthpiece. I haven't seen the horn for 18 months or so. My memory for more details is poor.

You know it could be an Arion, but I don't know which one. Larry, the person on the left of the top picture, is holding a 12J Conn in BBb. You can see the bell is larger than the Cerveny. Without access to the horn, I have no way of knowing. Paul, the now deceased owner of the Cerveny, likely was told it was a Piggy or described as Piggy like by the sales person. Paul called it a Piggy, it looked about right to me, so I believed him. You are likely more knowledgable on the subject than I am.

That tuba may be "compact" but it is not 3/4.

It plays and still feels full size.

@58mark: If you find yourself in the Bay Area you could try my Cerveny Musica, which has nearly identical specs to the Wessex Pocket Kaiser. (I created a thread about the Musica a week ago.)
