At 65, getting my chops back on the tuba. I have had shoulder surgery on both shoulders, but can man- handle my Allora 3/4 piston model fairly well. I'd like to add a rotor version, but, again, it has to be "light". Cervany ( if I can find one)? Dillon model? Tuba Exchange model?
Thanks for your advice.

Lidl and Jupiter both make a 3/4 rotary model. There may be others. These are the only two I know about.

I have not played either of them, and I don't know if they would be suitable for your situation. But they are available.

The Cerveny piggy Bb's are pretty tiny and have a decent sound.

We are all eagerly awaiting the delivery and review of a Wessex BBb Mosel.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival. Review may take a while since I have zero low range tuba "proper air supply" and it typically takes me a month to get that part of it working.

I'm a real fan of smaller tubas.
