TE-450s?

Post by bordersm92 »

I apologize if there is already a thread on this... I could not find it. Has anyone played this tuba?

It looks like a Thor copy to me? I could be crazy.

I tried something similar a few months ago at TMEA. Tuba Exchange had a monstrous tuba at their booth that reminded me of this. It was pretty easy play but took a while to get it positioned comfortably. Again, cant exactly say it was this one.

Appears to be the same one.
I see that it is a ".de" so I am assuming it is a German company? For that price is in a Chinese stencil?

I played it last year at frankfurt. China made. Pretty good for a Chinese horn. If I remember correctly the valves weren't the hottest, pretty slow and gritty feeling with the typical threading issues. I won't drop over 6 grand for one, but that's just me.
