I personally prefer to pull slides instead of lipping because I feel the notes resonate better. I'd welcome a tuning jigger on any of my tubas.

I'm just starting to appreciate how hi maintenance and finicky the CC world is.

I prefer my tuba, like my women.

Fewer moving parts and easier to play!!

You have two Neptunes, how about doing one of each?

That's quite a BAT farm you've got going there, Joe... be careful, it's springtime, once those things start to multiply, there's no stopping it. :tuba:

Might there be a fundamental flaw that you see with the current large M/W and/or B&S large CC 'bugles' if they have similar intonation problems? The question is how would you redesign the bugles of these horns to improve the intonation problems--different tapers, asymmetrical bows, etc.?

You need a tuning valve which is always engaged (ie, open to it's slight extra tuning). Then you depress the valve (shorten the tuba) for the flat pitches. :D

So you're willingly admitting to having a collection of contrabassoons, alto clarinets, English horns, and violas?
