Te Deum by Georges Bizet

Post by Steve Marcus »

How is the tuba part for this piece?

It's a very early work for Bizet (1858), so a historical guess without having seen the music is that bass tuba is probably appropriate.

The score does not appear on IMSLP, perhaps because the work was not published until 1971.

TIA,

Steve

The instrument listed by Bizet in the manuscript fair copy is ophicléide.
