Are there any summer programs for brass or jazz this summer near Chicago??

Update: I play tuba and trombone and I'm in college

I spent several summers attending the Arnold Jacobs week long tuba master classes at NU back in the day. Those were superb, but the only brass masterclass I see this summer is Michael Mulcahy's (of the CSO) trombone class.

You might want to check some of the other local college websites for more brass oppourtunities.

Carmela, there are several brass bands right outside the city, also a really good trombone choir in Mt. Prospect if you've got slide chops or access to a cimbasso. I've also had fairly good luck finding groups on Craigslist. Not programs, but something!

If you're younger, Scott Tegge runs a great program at the merit school of music

If your not younger, I have some marching band gigs with an Italian feast band. Might be some gig tourism
