Hey all,

Just wanted to share a quick Pictures of the Kanstul Chimbasso Prototype. Bob Carpenter of the Orlando Philharmonic Is currently play testing in the upcoming performance of Tosca next weekend. I have talked to Tom Treece here in Orlando and they have done some work to fix the prototype. I think it looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on it (to try out) in a few weeks. From what I have been told, it has an actual Euphonium Bell on itit instead of a Trombone bell.

Is this the CC prototype or the F? CC would explain its size.

Looks like it has been in development for a while. I found this on their facebook page:

Hi
Back in the 80s I had Kalson in milano make a BBb Chimbasso with 4 piston valves for me
Plays great looks a lot like what Kanstul is doing , I used it last week in a Verdi Opera piece
It should be the way to go C, F,Eb or Bb
M&M

Well, that IS how it's pronounced.

Or not, if for example that's the ch in "ache". English never went through much of a spelling standardization, obviously. But if you learn the rules for Italian spelling, they're as good as gold. 20 minutes, and you'll be able to pronounce any Italian word correctly, even bruschetta not to mention all kinds of musical terminology.
