My Fair Lady Selection

Playing with local Community Orchestra and they have chosen My Fair Lady Selection as one of there concert items. It unfortunately doesn't have a written Tuba part as a part of this arrangement. So I thought (assumed!!) that I could just play the third Trombone part on the Cimbasso and all would be sweet - WRONG...... Somewhere in the past a trombone player has obviously decided that he/she liked the part so much that he/she kept it.

Was wondering if anybody had a copy of the third trombone part to the following that they would be willing to copy or give me a clue as to where to try and source a replacement.

Chappell & Co's Orchestral Works No. 530 - My Fair Lady (Selection)

It is a fairly old setting (1950'sh) so not hopeful of being able to source an original replacement but any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks for this info - From what I can find on the net, the 530 version is a cut down arrangement of a larger set. No tuba in 530 but definitely Tuba in full arrangement.

Will check out Sibley Library but I'm sure they won't have interlibrary rights with Australia.

It is definitely out of print, it was published in 1956 when Boosey owned Chappell & Co, well before it was subsequently purchased by the Warner group.

Will keep searching as you never know what may turn up.

Once again, thanks Bloke.

The medley arrangement by the indefatigable Robert Russell Bennett does have tuba.

Even the pit orchestra score of the show itself has a noticeable tuba part.

Thanks for all the comments. Finally tracked down a copy of the condensed arrangement in the Australian National Library and currently negotiating for a copy of the 3rd Trombone part.
