Monette 94 Equivalents

Does anyone know what the closest thing to a Monette 94 that doesn't weigh a ton? I really like the sound I get and it is possibly the most comfortable mouthpiece I've ever owned, though the weight of it doesn't seem to do me any favours. Ideas?

Conn 2. Similar though not identical. I have one and when I picked it out, Dave M. did mention that it was considered in the designing of the 94. The first thing I noticed was the similarity in the rim geometry. The Conn 2 was for many generations used by some great players such as Harvey Philips and John Fletcher. It tends to have a much smaller throat than the more modern 'premium' mps out there these days. Dave also mentioned that the cup is similar to the Helleberg, thought which size for me is only a guess. By a general comparison, the Conn 2 and the Helleberg (not the Geib) are also very similar in their interiors. For What it is worth.

Thanks for all the help. I'll probably get in touch with Kanstul to see if they could help me out. They appear to do what I want/need.

My primary concern with the Monette is articulation. I enjoy every other aspect of the mouthpiece; it slots well, sounds even with focus but it blends easily and holds together well. My problem is that articulation seems sluggish. It's clear and easy, but just feels like a lot of work at higher speeds. I had assumed this was to do with the weight, but it occurs to me the throat may also be an issue.
