I saw the new Mad Max movie last night. A fine film overall...a bit light on plot, but there were plenty of cool cars and explosions, so overall a good time was had by all. One of the vehicles featured a fellow playing a flaming guitar with huge speakers and, to my surprise, several tubas for additional amplification/aesthetics.
Here are a couple of pictures that I've been able to find that show "The Doof Wagon" from the side:
Pretty neat stuff, eh? Just for fun, does anyone want to take a crack at identifying those tubas?

I'm pretty sure that one at the top center was owned by Arnold Jacobs.

That one's either a Besson, Yamaha 201/321 or one of the many others that uses the same basic design.
The other two look like O-99, 15J or a similar American design.

Cool, and a very strange idea.
...so what do you think about the carrier vehicle ?
When serving in the German army, I´d never have guessed I´d see one of these in a Hollywood production movie 25 years later.
Google for "MAN 10 t mil GL" and You´ll see what I mean.

A beast of its own and maybe another suitable action movie truck is the FAUN SLT 50 "Elefant".
