Recovery after gallstone surgery

Well, it seems inevitable that I will have to have my gallstones removed by Laparoscopic surgery. I have yet to meet with the surgeon, but I was wondering what the recovery time is following this procedure. I have known friends to be back to work in one to two weeks, but I am concerned about the time required to get back to tuba playing form. Any experiences to share?

My wife had this surgery last year. Although she doesn't play tuba, she was told no lifting for one month.

I was playing 3 days later. 6 weeks ago. Doc said don't lift or exercise till the next day, then do what feels right. I could have played a gig that 3rd day, but had postponed surgery a week to do 5 graduation services, just in case.
Then, 2 weeks tomorrow, had surgery to repair an inner ear problem. Youtube "the musician who heard too much " Adrian is a horn player, this story was 9 or so years ago. It's pretty intense stuff. No playing for another month at least.
