I am very interested in multiphonics too.
Have been trying a lot.
Do you know where I can find Fnugg tuba parts????
I am also wondering how I can change vowels during the singing.

Fnugg is finally available on sheet music
Hi,
Since I started to perform an early version of Fnugg about 15 years ago I have got questions about sheet music on this piece.
For different reasons I have not been able to make it. (to be honest, I haven't been able to figure out how to write it!! )
However, i have now spent over two months trying to find a good notation and now I think I'm finally there. Tested on inocent tubist around the world as well! To quote test pilot Dennis Askew: "to make it happen without producing a sound is a bitch. Also, the idea of two different sounds makes it even tougher. Of course, you're not trying to publish an easy work-- Perhaps if the two different lip beat "x"'s were closer on the staff, if might be less defeating.."
It is printed this very week, and will in a week become available for purchase from my website along with a conciderable number of other tunes.
There is just so much place for technique explanation on the music itself, so I am planning to follow up with an article on these particcular new techniques: Multiphonics with extensive use of syllables, and my own invention: Lip Beat.
Please drop by http://www.baadsvik.com
And, of course, feel free to post me comments.
All the best

This is what fnugg looks like
Here are three samples from Fnugg:
As you can see, there is not much new in this notation except lyrics, constant singing and Lip Beat.
The singing and syllables:
The Lip Beat:
