Hey Guys,

I have a 4 valve Reynolds Eb sousaphone, that sports the serial number: 3701.

The bell matches, and is says "made by F.A. Reynolds - Cleveland OH"

It apparently was a military horn, as well.

I tried Lars Kirmser's list, but the number does not appear there.

Anybody know how I can date it?

While it is not specific, my guess would be WWII.

Probably during the transition between Ohio Band Instrument Company and F A Reynolds. Around 1936 comes to mind.

Dinner and a movie is never a bad idea. :tuba:
Sounds like a fun tuba. Good luck dating it!
