G&W Baer Stainless vs. Titanium

A straightforward question for people who have tried both -- what are the main differences between the stainless and titanium Baer mouthpieces?

I used a stainless Baer MMVI for years before growing to not like the feel of stainless. I'm curious how titanium is any different. Ignore costs for the sake of conversation.

Thanks! :tuba:

I have a titanium G&W Baer. The titanium feels very similar to the stainless steel model. It has a very "slick" feel and warms up very quickly. The biggest differences to me are timbre and how it responds. The overall timbre seems to be brighter and the sound/articulation seems to "jump" out quicker than the stainless steel model. To me, titanium also feels like playing a lexan mouthpiece, minus the sticky feeling, if that makes sense? Maybe because of the weight? Overall, I like the titanium model, and I think it's a great mouthpiece. I hope this helps.
