I need some suggestions guys, I've found list with suggested pieces but since i dont' exactly have a large selection I kinda have to order "blind" and hope its not over my head, or way to easy.

I have introduction and dance, as well as vocalise.. Vocalise is too easy and the dance part of intro and dance kicks my butt! while I can do it on a good day, I feel this piece is a little tooo hard for my first solo with piano.

so any suggestions? I'm a decent tuba player, made all state 1st 4th this year, and 1st 1st region 3 yrs.. but im not by any means a pro just a average ol tuba player So with that in mind any suggestions are welcomed, as well as, any links to recordings of the suggested pieces so i can get a idea of what it sounds like.

Try the haddad Suite for Tuba. Its nice and not TOO difficult, but should still give you something to work on. Also, if you plan to do this tuba thing for a while, it might be a good idea just to order a pile of music and have your parents foot the bill. Order as much as you can, and then what you dont like, you can send back.

Mozart horn concerto #3

Get the E flat horn part and add three flats, you can then play with the piano part. Very musical, average listeners like it, the technique and range are not too difficult and it is a good piece to have in your collection. You can play one (I suggest movement # 1 if only one is desired) or all movements. If I remember correctly, the Chambers edition comes with a very nice written out cadenza.
