Recently had the joy of play-testing a friend's tuba he was selling, a 4/4 Gnagey CC. played on it for a few weeks, fell in love, and am now its new keeper! Because the Tubenet community loves horn dorn, I thought I would share some! :tuba:

Very surprised how big a sound this horn can get. For me, the G&W Baer Orchestra mouthpiece is a great pairing with this tuba.

It looks exactly like the tuba I sold to a student of mine who attended SUNY Fredonia.

It is! The thumb lever idea was Chuck McAlexander's (NYC). He used the end of a snare drum stick, fitted over the rod that Sam installed. It was more comfortable and efficient. Chuck also re-routed the linkage rod (from the thumb to the rotor) to make it more ergonomic - fulcrum stuff. That was one my 30+ tubas I've owned that I sometimes think I shouldn't have sold.
